Information technology plays a critical role in Nikko Citigroup’s business and success. We have designed, developed and managed a variety of acclaimed system solutions. It empowers us to handle heavy trading volume every day and provide swift delivery of our research and other analytical tools to our clients.
Responsibilities
The Information Technology division is responsible for integrating technology into our business strategies and for providing creative solutions.
One unique feature of our Information Technology division is the ability to develop our own applications and systems to fit the Japanese market. We leverage large scale applications built by Citigroup, as well as the technological expertise of Nikko Cordial.
The Information Technology division conducts the following business activities:
- Developing sophisticated trading and financial systems
- Designing and developing the company’s system architecture for our global applications, databases, networks, hardware and data centers
- Providing software solutions in response to changing business needs
Our system developers communicate with people in the businesses regularly. In so doing, we understand their needs and factor them into system development to provide competitive information systems and infrastructure.
Training Programs
Program in Tokyo
You will begin by participating in a four-week orientation program in our Tokyo office. You will learn Japanese business manners and will be introduced to all the divisions within Nikko Citigroup. Following orientation you will be assigned to a specific area, where you will continue to be trained in business practices.
We also have an in-house program called the Mentor Program. Your mentor will provide you with medium-term guidance.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for people who are interested in solving problems using technology, rather than simply developing a technology and trying to identify a use for it.
In addition to technology problem solving, our people exert their abilities in a multitude of situations, such as application technology for new products or business models. We provide diverse business opportunities and are actively looking for recruits with both IT and non-IT backgrounds.
