Operations
The Operations Division acts as an interface between clients and Nikko Citigroup, providing efficient and high-quality services at every stage in the delivery of products, such as clearing, settlement, accounts and customer services.
Responsibilities
The Operations Division provides a variety of important services in the securities transaction process, including clearing and settling transactions, managing customer account information, as well as basic securities information. The division is also involved in the development of new and key projects through collaboration with affiliates and business areas such as Legal, Finance and Technology.
In addition, many Operations staff actively participate in external committees and other activities involving issues such as the Reform of Securities and Clearing and Settlement Systems. Operations is influenced by a variety of factors, such as new securities products, market reforms, and newsworthy movements of corporations and the economy. In the Operations Division, you will be able to experience first-hand the dynamism and speed of the market.
Training Programs
Program in Tokyo
You will begin by participating in a four-week orientation program in our Tokyo office. You will learn Japanese business manners and will also be introduced to all divisions of Nikko Citigroup.
We also have an in-house program called the Mentor Program. Your mentor will provide you with medium-term guidance. Job assignment and career development We will assign you to a specific department. The decision of the assignment will be based on your skills and the firm’s business needs. You will develop much of your professional career through on-the-job-training.
We provide you with regular opportunities to discuss your career development plans with your manager, such as your plans and goals. Your manager will give you advice on developing your future career. Through this dialogue, and also through regular rotation of personnel within the division, we aim to create diverse career paths for our staff and improve business performance.
Who are we looking for?
Operations staff members will be able to respond to a number of requirements with speed and efficiency. They will have the ability to handle a large number of transactions and have knowledge about a multitude of products.
In addition to product and business knowledge, candidates should have the following traits:
